THORPE PARK, a division of, the Merlin Entertainments Group, places great importance on the safety of its visitors and endeavours to ensure that the high standards set by the company are complied with by all those on the Park. We are only prepared to allow entry to the Park to those visitors who are willing to comply with the Park Regulations set out below.

We are sure that you will wish to assist us in ensuring the Park and facilities therein remain a safe place in which to enjoy a fun and exciting experience. To assist in ensuring your safety, CCTV is in operation in most areas of the Park.

  1. All persons entering THORPE PARK are admitted subject to the following Park Regulations. Any person (or the entire group) who does not comply with these Regulations may be removed from the Park by either THORPE PARK Personnel or Police Officers. This is without prejudice to any claim that THORPE PARK may have against such a person or persons arising out of their actions. Whilst on our premises, all visitors must comply with any instructions given to them by Park Personnel or Police Officers.

  2. THORPE PARK reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to refuse admission to the Park, ban from entry to the Park, or remove from the Park, without right to refund, any person or entire group who:

    2.1. has behaved in or in the vicinity of the Park in a manner which, in the opinion of THORPE PARK, has, or is likely to affect the safety and enjoyment of other visitors or staff;

    2.2. uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or in any way provokes or behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace.

  3. All persons entering the Park must pay for admission or hold a valid admission ticket that must be retained at all times and submitted for inspection if required by Security or THORPE PARK personnel. Any person attempting to gain admission to the Park or being found inside the Park without a valid ticket may be ejected from the Park. All tickets are non-transferable and cannot be re-sold without prior permission of THORPE PARK. If THORPE PARK reasonably believes that a ticket has been resold without such consent or purchased from an unauthorised source, the holder may be refused entry to or ejected from the Park without payment of compensation. All admission prices are subject to change.

  4. No child or children under the age of 12 will be admitted to the Park unless they are accompanied by an adult, who shall be 18 years or over and such child or children whilst on site must remain under the control or supervision of that adult at all times.

    4.1. THORPE PARK, in its absolute discretion, may raise the age on an individual basis for the requirement of accompaniment by an adult should it be deemed necessary in the interests of safety and security.

  5. Pets or animals of any nature are expressly prohibited in the Park (except for guide dogs, hearing dogs and registered assistance dogs) without the express permission of THORPE PARK.

    5.1. In line with our notices and posters, THORPE PARK reserves the right to contact any relevant authority to make and be responsible for any decision in relation to animals that are left unsupervised or that are found to be in distress.

  6. To prevent offensive weapons or dangerous articles from being taken into the Park, visitors are admitted to the Park subject to a condition that, if requested to do so, they will allow themselves and/or their belongings to be searched. It is prohibited to bring into the Park any weapons, fireworks, smoke bombs, glass bottles or other articles, which may cause injury. The throwing of any article which could cause injury or annoyance is strictly prohibited.

    6.1. Any person found to be in possession of an article deemed to be offensive or dangerous will be immediately escorted from the premises without the right to refund and be open to prosecution.

    6.2. The entire group with whom the individual at 6.1 above is a member may also, at the Park Manager's discretion, be denied entry or escorted from the premises without the right to refund.

  7. The consumption of intoxicating liquors is permitted only in authorised places. Accordingly, intoxicating liquor may not be taken into the Park except with the express permission of THORPE PARK and any persons found possessing alcohol, or who appears to be under the influence of alcohol may be refused admission or escorted from the Park. The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited and any persons found possessing, using or who appear to be under the influence of illegal substances will be refused admission or escorted from the Park.

  8. THORPE PARK will endeavour to ensure that as many rides and attractions as possible are available for use by visitors. However, THORPE PARK reserves the right to make available, close and/or change the programme of rides and attractions with or without notice if, at any time, it is deemed necessary or appropriate to do so.

  9. All rides, attractions, amusements, transport systems and other facilities must only be used in accordance with the operator's instructions.

  10. Unnecessary noise, (such as that from the use of radio sets, mobile phones, video cameras and other electrical equipment) or any behaviour likely to cause annoyance to other visitors or confusion of any kind is not permitted in any part of the Park.

  11. The climbing of or standing upon fences, barriers, walls, safety fences and rock arrangements, ride structures, exhibits or buildings is strictly prohibited. THORPE PARK reserves the right to prosecute any person found damaging or defacing any or any part of the grounds, fences, barriers, walls, ride structures, exhibits, fabrics or buildings.

  12. Only persons authorised by THORPE PARK are permitted to sell or offer for sale any items to visitors within the curtilage of the Park.

  13. Motor homes, camper vans, caravans or any other vehicle intended for such purpose are not permitted anywhere within the curtilage of THORPE PARK unless express permission in writing has been given by a member of THORPE PARK's senior management. This permission in original form will need to be produced prior to entry. Copies will not be accepted.

    13.1 No vehicles are permitted to remain on site outside the Park's normal operating hours without the prior permission of the security duty manager, who retains absolute discretion as to whether such permission be granted.

    13.2 Any person or vehicle found in breach of this clause 13 will be deemed to be trespassing and appropriate action will be taken which may include instigating legal proceedings and/or the clamping or removal of vehicles.

  14. THORPE PARK accepts no responsibility for any loss and/or damage however arising whilst on our premises (including that which might arise as result of any breach of contract) including any distress, inconvenience or anxiety caused during the course of any ride or exhibit undertaken and/or during evacuation from such a ride or exhibit in the event of breakdown or fire or security precaution.

  15. Admission tickets will only be exchanged or refunded if THORPE PARK, in its absolute discretion, chooses to do so.

  16. From time to time THORPE PARK or other authorised parties carry out photography and/or video recording at the Park which may feature visitors. By accepting these Regulations, you agree that THORPE PARK or any authorised party may use such images in perpetuity in any promotional, advertising or publicity material in any format whatsoever. You further agree that copyright in these materials rests with THORPE PARK or such authorised party (as the case may be).

  17. Smoking is strictly prohibited in buildings, on rides and in queues at the Park.

  18. Visitors are requested to leave all pushchairs and/or large luggage items at the designated area. THORPE PARK take no responsibility for any loss or damage to such belongings

These Regulations are for the benefit of all our visitors and will be strictly enforced.
