THE UK'S FIRST WINGED ROLLERCOASTER
NEW FOR 2012
The UK’s first winged rollercoaster – nothing above or below you but air!
New for 2012, brave a death-defying flight for your life through apocalyptic devastation on the UK’s first winged rollercoaster, THE SWARM.
Experience the unique head first, inverted drop from 127ft before you relentlessly rip through the sky on its mission of complete annihilation.
Riders must be at least 1.4m tall, but no taller than 1.96m (that's 6' 5").
Riders must be properly secured in the seat, which may not be possible for some guests with larger torso or thigh measurements approaching 51 inches. THORPE PARK advise guests to use the test seat at the ride entrance before queueing.
Guests must wear footwear on THE SWARM, we cannot allow heeled shoes or sandals on the ride.
If you're unsure, some rides have test seats which may be used before entering the queue line.

As Europe's tallest winged coaster, THE SWARM has some impressive stats:
The tallest wing coaster in Europe and the second highest in the Park.
...beaten only by Colossus... but THE SWARM's inversions are more terrifying.
Make sure you book your place to experience it…
Genuine plane wreckage, devastated helicopter and flaming fire truck all to add to the apocalyptic devastation.
That’s 2,543 feet of unimaginable torture!
Hurtle through the air at death-defying speeds of 57mph!
You'll be positioned either side of the track with nothing above or below you...leaving you vulnerable and exposed!
So you'll be plummeting from 127 feet upside-down!
...and once riders are on it'll be nearing 12 tonnes - around the same as the THORPE PARK Express bus

THE SWARM is awsWARm. You get the amzing feeling of flying (even more than a flying coaster)! It looks so epic when watching it go. If THORPE PARK is your next destination GO ON THE SWARM. Thats all from what I have to say.

THE SWARM had to be my highlight of the day. Me and my sister agree that it's the best roller coaster we have ever been on and we don't know why. The drop at the beginning is AWESOME!!!

I have been excited for this ride since I heard about it. After waiting in a 1 and a half hour queue I finally got to ride it, and it was amazing! The 127ft drop near the beginning makes you feel as if you're flying and the near misses made you feel that little bit more thrilled! One of my favourite rides, must go on it!! :)

SWARM WAS AMAZING! Absolutely loved every minute of it!, we went on easter sunday, only had to wait 35 minutes to get on the first time, and 15/20 minutes the second time. had hands up the entire time both times! second time got front row which is amazing especially when you get to the drop! Another great ride from Thorpe Park. 9/10

THE SWARM is out of this world! The near misses are crazy, especially the plane wing. I felt like I was flying!
