Club 236

Club 236 is a competition for THORPE PARK and Merlin Pass holders that visit THORPE PARK Resort during the 2023 season. We’re giving away a number of money-can’t-buy prizes available, all of which will take place on the day of opening of Project Exodus. 

There four different prize tiers, each with its own prizes and drawer entry requirements, each draw will take place separately for those who meet the requirements. Full terms and conditions can be viewed here.  

One (1) winner of two front row seats on the first public train of Project Exodus on opening day (date tbc). Plus, an overnight stay at THORPE SHARK Cabins, an evening meal, breakfast and Fastrack on the opening day. 

To be eligible for this prize drawer you must visit all four THORPE PARK 2023 seasonal events using your annual pass at least once (Mardi Gras, Carnival, Oktoberfest, and FRIGHT NIGHTS).  

One (1) winner of two seats on a row of their choice on the first public train of Project Exodus on opening day (date tbc). Note, row 10 is subject to availability. Plus, an overnight stay at THORPE SHARK Cabins, an evening meal, breakfast and Fastrack on the opening day.  

This prize will be awarded to the person who visits the THORPE PARK Resort (using a THORPE PARK or Merlin Annual Pass) the most times between 18th March – 31st October. In the event of a tie, a random winner will be selected.  

Eight (8) winners of two pre-allocated seats on the first public train of Project Exodus on opening day (date tbc). Plus, an overnight stay at THORPE SHARK Cabins, an evening meal, breakfast and Fastrack on the opening day. 

To be eligible for this prize drawer you must visit THORPE PARK using your annual pass at least once between 18th March – 31st October 2023.  

Fifty (50) winners of four tickets to enter the main queue line for Project Exodus ahead of the public on opening day (date tbc).  

To be eligible for this prize drawer you must visit THORPE PARK using your annual pass at least once between 18th March – 31st October 2023.  

To enter, you must scan your THORPE PARK or Merlin Annual Pass upon entry to THORPE PARK Resort. Visits must be pre-booked, and scans are only valid during opening days and hours.  

Every visit made between 18^th March and 31^st October 2023 will count as one entry – so the more you visit, the better you chance of winning. For tiers one and two you must also meet the additional requirements outlined above.  

Not, just scan your pass at the turnstiles (or staff using a hand-held scanner) as normal. You must also hold a pre-book reservation. Never scan your pass more than once in a single visit, doing so may void your entry.  

We will be logging every visit behind the scenes; this data is not publicly available. Always best to keep a log of your visits so you know how many you clock up!  

Fear not! As long as the pass is valid and in date, and you have attempted to scan it, you’ll get your entry. 

You can always renew your annual pass online at THORPEPARK.COM, however, if you choose not to renew, that’s cool – you’re pass doesn’t need to be valid for prize winners on Project Exodus opening day.  

Yes, however you must go through the pass renewal process to link the two passes. You must use the identical annual pass barcode number and email address.

Overview 

1. Club 236 is a competition for THORPE PARK Annual Pass, Merlin Annual Pass, or Merlin Membership holders who visit THORPE PARK Resort during opening hours between 18th March and 31st October 2023. Opening dates and hours can be found at https://www.thorpepark.com/plan-your-visit/before-you-visit/opening-times/  
2. Those who meet the criteria outlined in these terms of entry will be entered into a random prize draw to win one of four (4) different prize tiers (see section 2).  
3. A ‘Passholder’ is defined as a THORPE PARK Annual Pass, Merlin Annual Pass, or Merlin Membership holder with a valid pass covering at least one (1) THORPE PARK Resort open date from 18th March – 31st October 2023.  
4. ‘First public train’ is defined as the first train of guests to ride ‘Project Exodus’ rollercoaster on the first public opening date. THORPE PARK Resort reserve the right to allow riders prior to this date for whatever reason, e.g. staff training purposes.   

Prizes 

1.  There are sixty (60) prizes in total, broken down into the following four (4) tiers: 

*Choice rows 2-10, row 10 is subject to availability. Seats will be allocated in the same row.  

2.Conditions for entry / eligibility. 

• The conditions for entry to win each of the tiers is as follows.: 

• Every THORPE PARK Annual Pass, Merlin Annual Pass, or Merlin Membership holder who visits THORPE PARK Resort is eligible and is automatically opted into the prize draws which they qualify for. No further action is needed by the Passholder to enter, however Passholders can withdraw themselves from the competition should they wish. If a Passholder would like to withdraw from the competition, they must email ‘competitions@thorpe-park.co.uk’ using the subject line ‘Club 236 withdrawal’, you will need to confirm your unique pass number and name associated with the pass in the email body.  
• Every valid visit to the park between 18th March 2023 and 31st October 2023 inclusive is counted as one valid entry into the draw. A valid visit requires passholders to do both of the following: 

• Pre-book a Passholder reservation ticket. 
• Scan their Annual Pass upon entry during opening hours only.  
• THORPE PARK Resort may introduce “Club 236 Bonus Days” throughout the 2023 season. These days will give passholders who visit on a bonus day an additional entry(s) into the draw, on top of the one they receive for visiting. 
• “Club 236 Bonus Day” points will be added automatically. You must only scan your pass once on entry to THORPE PARK Resort. Multiple same-day scan may be void.  
• To be eligible for the Tier 1 draw, a Passholder must visit at least once during each of the following events (visits outside these dates do not qualify toward the Tier 1 prize draw): 

• Mardi Gras (18th May 2023 – 11th June 2023 inclusive) 
• Carnival (21st July 2023 – 28th August 2023 inclusive) 

• Oktoberfest (8th – 11th, 14th – 18th, 21st – 25th ,28th – 30th September and 1st October 2023 incisive)  
• FRIGHT NIGHTS (6th – 8th and 13th – 31st October 2023 inclusive)  
• Private events are not included.  

Entry Eligibility rules 

1. Any Passholder judged to have broken Annual Pass terms and conditions at THORPE PARK Resort, or another Merlin Attraction will forfeit all entries into the Club 236 draw. These are including but not limited to: 

• An individual other than the Passholder attempting to use the Annual Pass 
• Inappropriate conduct or breach of terms of entry  
• Allowing or assisting a third party to attempt to gain unauthorised or improper access to any attraction. 

• Due to the nature of the prize, all prizes are subject to the winner meeting all the necessary ride requirements set by the manufacturer and by THORPE PARK Resort. These include (but not limited to), minimum height requirement, maximum waist and chest restrictions, minimum limb requirements etc. These restrictions will be confirmed and communicated via email ahead of the opening. Any instances where a winner may not meet these requirements will be assessed and appropriately dealt with on a case-by-case basis. 

• The prizes will take place on the public opening day of Project Exodus. This date will be confirmed in due course and is subject to change at any time. All winners must be available on the confirmed opening date for Project Exodus, the prize cannot be transferred or exchanged. Any winners not available on the date will automatically forfeit the entire prize package and cash or any other form of compensation will not be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize, and a redraw will take place. 

Prize Rules

2. The prizes will take place on the public opening day of Project Exodus. This date will be confirmed in due course and is subject to change at any time. All winners must be available on the confirmed opening date for Project Exodus, the prize cannot be transferred or exchanged. Any winners not available on the date will automatically forfeit the entire prize package and cash or any other form of compensation will not be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize, and a redraw will take place. 
3. Winners will be contacted by email between 1st December 2023 and 8th December 2023 inclusive. They will be contacted via the email address connected to their Annual Pass. Details such as the ride opening date and ride restrictions may not be confirmed at this stage. 
4. Winners must respond within 5 working days, or they will forfeit the entire prize package. 
5. By accepting the prize, you agree to be included in any marketing photography or video (live or recorded) content taken during the event. This content may be used for marketing and public relations purposes.  
6. All correspondence between the prize winner, guest(s) and THORPE PARK Resort is strictly confidential unless otherwise stated by THORPE PARK Resort.  
7. All winners/guests under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult, the adult is not required to ride, however they must accompany the guest throughout their visit. If the adult wishes to ride, they must use the guest(s) allocation given to the prize winner.  
8. THORPE PARK Resort reserves the right to cancel, alter, or revoke the prize offering at any time and for any reason.  
9. All Prizes are subject to the completion, opening, and availability of Project Exodus. 
10. This prize is offered by Merlin Attractions Operations Limited (Merlin) and is subject to Merlin's terms and conditions relating to the THORPE SHARK Cabins and THORPE PARK Resort. 
11. Prizes do not include transport costs to or from THORPE PARK Resort or THORPE SHARK Cabins, or any other expenses incurred by the winner and/or their guest/s whilst at THORPE PARK Resort. 
12. Prizes are non-transferable, not for resale and there is no cash alternative. 
13. Prizes are subject to availability. 
14. If for any reason a prize is not available, THORPE PARK Resort reserves the right to substitute another item for it, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value. 
15. THORPE PARK Resort’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into. 
16. Merlin reserves the right to alter theses terms and conditions at any time and for any reason.
