THE STORY… SO FAR
Hyperia was the daughter of an ancient river God who’s fear of water imprisoned her on the island she called home.
Refusing to be defined by her fears, she crafted her own wings of steel and climbed to the highest point.
Summoning all her courage, Hyperia leaped into the void. For a heart-stopping moment, she felt the rush of air against her face and the world spinning around her. Then, miraculously, the wings responded to her will, carrying her higher into the sky. She was flying, soaring above the very waters that once imprisoned her.
Hyperia conquered her fear of water by defying it. She became a legend, a symbol of triumph over adversity, and a testament to the power that lies within each person to overcome their deepest fears.
And now it’s your turn.

FAQs
Same as usual, last entry time is 1 hour before park closing time. Please see FAQ re Hyperia queue line timings for specific details regarding the closure time for the queue line.
Due to our Golden Goddess’ popularity and the current wait times, all Hyperia queue lines will close prior to the advertised park closure time. This is so that we can ensure that anyone in the queue isn’t waiting unnecessarily and gets a chance to find their fearless before the end of the day.
Yes, but these are on a limited capacity. Tickets are £20 per person and only available on the date of your visit, they cannot be purchased in advance. Tickets are released each morning via the Thorpe Park app only.
Hyperia Fastrack is not included in any Fastrack pages and must be purchased separately. If you would like to purchase Fastrack for Hyperia you can buy this on the day of your visit via the Thorpe Park app – tickets are released each morning and are strictly limited.
Currently we are restricting access to Hyperia’s area, ‘Fearless Valley’, including Hyporium, whilst we are finding our feet. Access to the shop will always be available via the ride exit, if you’d like to access without riding please speak to staff in golden high-vis. This will be reviewed, and information updated on the app and our website.
Not during the opening period, however, we’ll review shortly after launch.
A limited range of Hyperia merchandise will be available online soon, click here for the latest availability.
Bag storage will be available once you enter the Hyperia ride station. For items of value, please use the secure lockers found around the park. Please ensure you secure all your loose items before boarding the trains and prepare to Find Your Fearless.
Front row queue will not be available during the opening period, but we will update the app and website in due course.
There sure is! Please enter via the Single Rider queue, please note, the Single Rider queue is designed to fill empty seats to maximise capacity, therefore you must be willing to ride alone and split from your group if applicable.
Don’t worry we have you covered! You can access SAW – The Ride and Samurai just past the Colossus entrance, please note both rides will open late to accommodate Hyperia’s extended queue.
For the safety of riders and bystanders, we do not allow the use of body-worn cameras, mobile phones, or hand-hand cameras. All loose items these must be secured or placed in the storage area.
Thorpe Park is a safe space for everyone so if you experience any behaviour that makes you feel uncomfortable, spot queue jumping or if someone is smoking within the area you can discretely report this via the info tab of the Thorpe Park app or by scanning QR codes within the queue line.
During it’s opening we will be having queue line marshals around the entrance and extended queue line so there will be people in golden hi-vis to help you.
Along with our brand-new ride, we welcome a brand-new live show in Fearless Valley! Please check our app for show times and details.
No additional ticket is needed for Hyperia it is included in your entrance ticket.
Hotel Fastrack does not include Hyperia. For those staying in one of our Hyperia themed rooms, you can collect a free One-Shot Fastrack ticket at hotel reception when checking in. For all other themed rooms One-Shot Fastrack tickets may be available to purchase, please ask at reception.
Here are some of the most frequently asked Hyperia accessibility questions, for more detailed information please visit our Rider Requirements page featuring dedicated information.
Hyperia features a state-of-the-art lap bar restraint allowing offering the highest rider safety and comfort – plus it’ll maximise your sense of weightlessness! A test seat will be available at the ride entrance for those of you who’d like to try before you fly!
Guests with any arm differences can ride Hyperia, to ensure rider safety, those with any leg differences are unsuitable to ride. You can view our full Missing Limb Guide here.
If you or anyone in your party has a limb difference, we strongly recommend getting in touch prior to your visit so we can ensure you have all the information you need. You can contact the team on customer.services@thorpe-park.co.uk or fill in our dedicated form here.
Yes, for your safety prosthetic limbs must be removed before boarding Hyperia.
Hyperia features includes camera flashes, smoke effects, themed lighting, and music. Click here to view our full sensory guide.
Everybody is different and Hyperia’s seats may not be able to accommodate those with certain body shapes and sizes. For peace of mind, we recommended trying the test seat at the ride entrance before joining the queue.
Hyperia has been designed to safety accommodate as many people as possible, so for those brave enough – you can ride from 1.3m!
Due to strong magnetic forces on the ride, Hyperia is not recommended for those with a pacemaker fitted.
Absolutely! Step-Free Access can be found at the main entrance to Hyperia. For those of you who require a lift to the ride platform, this can be found prior to boarding. Please note, if you require a Step-Free exit after riding, you will need to leave the ride on the right-hand side to access the lift.
Yes! Non-ambulant guests are good to ride providing they can transfer to the ride seat. Please be aware that in the unlikely event of a lift evacuation you should expect an extended wait time whilst we evacuate you safely.
Absolutely! Just collect your Timecard as usual and visit Hyperia at any time of the day and enter via the dedicated entrance. Staff will mark your Timecard to say you’ve experienced Hyperia in the same way as our other rides & attractions. We recommend riding Hyperia later in the day to avoid the busiest periods.
Yes, pre-booking is essential. You will need to pre-book your Ride Access Pass each time you visit. All Ride Access Pass bookings must be completed through our pre-booking portal you can find here.
The timecard you are given will have Hyperia printed on the back. Once you reach the Ride Access Pass queue line the team member will hole punch the card. Any extra Timecards issued will have Hyperia marked as used – this includes lost cards.
Yes, your Ride Access Pass Timecard will be timed out in accordance with Hyperia's current queue time. The Ride Access Pass for Hyperia will operate in the same way as our other rides & attractions.
These sure is! You’ll find the Ride Access Pass entry point at the main entrance to Hyperia, which is signposted and on our app.
We are expecting the demand for Hyperia to exceed all other rides – therefore we have put several steps in place to ensure a smooth and safe entry process.
Here you’ll find all your burning questions (and answers), even better, you can view our Opening Video Guide here. Plus, you can view the Opening Procedure Park Map here.
Thorpe Park opens at 10am with security opening earlier.
Once you pass the turnstiles, please follow signs and keep left to join the holding queue on the queue.
For access to all other rides, toilets, Island Shop or Coffee Shack keep right.
For Hyperia, you may be held on the bridge for a period of time, please be patient and do no push. Once we’re ready, marshals will slowly walk the queue towards the main holding area via a step-free path. Again, do not push, run or cut places in the queue.
You’ll arrive at the entrance to the holding area – here you’ll see two paths:
· Left – Ride Access Pass, Step-Free Access and Fastrack.
· Right – Main Queue and Single Riders.
Please note, once at the ride entrance these queues will then split into the appropriate lanes.
We recommend all guests use the facilities in the Lower Dome or Admissions before entering the Hyperia holding area or extended queue line. There will be one opportunity for a toilet break at the end of the extended queue line before joining the main queue (approx. halfway through the queue time), this will be managed by queue line marshals by issuing a one-time use pass. You will not be permitted to leave the queue line at any other time. Please speak with staff in golden hi-vis if you need assistance.
Not a problem, just follow our marshals in golden hi-vis. Keep to the left of the bridge and head toward Tacotaria where the extended queue line portal is.
Absolutely not! In fact, this may be the perfect time for non-Hyperia riders to visit - all the attention will be on our newest ride so you may find our classic rides quieter than usual.
If Hyperia’s queue cannot be contained within the main queue line, you will need to join the extended queue. Entry to the extended queue (including Ride Access Pass, Ste-Free Access, Fastrack and Single Riders) can be found to the left of Tacotaria (opposite Rush).
In honour of our fearless golden goddess, Hyperia, we have decided to dedicate the 23rd June (23/6 get it?) to her and are inviting people to come dressed head to toe in gold (no full face masks please). We will be giving away on the spot prizes, gold certificates to those dressed in gold (these are limited so go all out in gold for a chance of claiming one!) and we’ll be picking the best dressed guests on arrival at the park and in the Hyperia queue line to be on the first Hyperia train of the day.
The golden certificates will be given exclusively to those who have come dressed in gold, available from Hyporium. You need to make an effort, the certificates are very limited, so a pair of gold earrings will not cut it! You’ll need to be wearing at least one substantial piece of clothing that’s gold or gold patterned, but the more the better…find your fearless and go for it! The decision on the day is final too, so the bigger you go the less we can refuse you. They will only be give out while stocks last.
One of our team will decide on the day, it’s 100% at their discretion and their decision is final. You can go with your group for the first ride even if you’re not all dressed up, but we would obviously prefer that you are!
We have 236 prizes (see what we did there?) from Thorpe Park entry tickets to Hyperia fastracks, Coaster fastracks, Hyperia merch, meal vouchers, freestyle cups and even some Gold Thorpe Park Annual passes. You must wear gold to be in with a chance of winning a prize
The more the better, but please remember no full face masks and any lose accessories will have to be removed before riding.
If we have an amazing response this year then we will definitely consider it!
We only have one epic Golden Day with prizes, but come dressed in gold on any other day and you will have our love and appreciation.
