Thorpe Park is located in Chertsey, Surrey (KT16 8PN)—just 20 miles from central London, typically a 45–60 minute journey. It’s the perfect escape from the city, and even better, we’re outside the ULEZ zone, so no additional charges apply if you're driving.
Directions to Thorpe Park:
- By car: Enter KT16 8PN into your sat nav and follow signs from the M25 (Junction 11 or 13) via the A320.
- By train: Take a direct train from London Waterloo to Staines (30–50 minutes), then hop on the 950 Thorpe Park Express Bus straight to the resort.

Thorpe Park opened in 1979, built on the site of an old gravel pit—and we've been thrilling guests ever since!
Fun fact: Two of our classic coasters are still going strong!
● Our very first rollercoaster, Space Station Zero, launched in 1984 and is now flying high as Flying Fish.
● In 1996, X:\No Way Out made history as the world’s first backwards-in-the-dark coaster—these days, it’s taken on a darker twist as The Walking Dead: The Ride.
