How to Beat the Queues: Pro Tips
A little planning goes a long way. Use this guide to spend less time waiting and more time screaming your head off.
-
Arrive Early: The first hour after the park opens is often the quietest. Head straight to the most popular rides at the back of the park, like SAW The Ride or Hyperia.
-
Stay Late: Queues at Thorpe Park often shorten significantly in the last 60-90 minutes before the park closes as families and groups start to head home. This is the perfect time to get on that one last ride.
-
Eat at Off-Peak Times: Don't have lunch at 1 pm with everyone else. Grab a meal earlier (around 11:30 am) or later (after 2:30 pm) when the ride queues are at their longest, and the food outlets are quieter.
Use the Single Rider Queue: If you don't mind your group being split up, the Single Rider queues for rides like Stealth and The Swarm can cut your wait time in half.

Want to guarantee more rides? With a Fastrack pass, you can bypass the main queue on our biggest and best attractions. Choose a package that suits your day, from one-shot passes for your favourite coaster to unlimited access for the ultimate thrill-seeker.

FAQs
Our queue times are updated in real-time from sensors at the ride entrances. They are highly accurate, but can fluctuate quickly based on ride operations and guest flow.
Typically, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during school term time are the quietest days to visit the park. Saturdays, Sundays, and any day during school holidays or bank holidays will naturally be busier.
The newest and most popular rollercoasters tend to have the longest queues. This includes rides like Hyperia, Colossus and Nemesis Inferno, especially during peak times.
Ride availability can change throughout the day due to maintenance, weather, or operational needs. For the most up-to-date information on ride closures and availability, please check the official ride availability page or download the Thorpe Park app.
